The biggest 2 trumps of Mahali Zanzibar were the location and most importantly, the people! Firstly, it's located in the middle of everything, right on the beach and in the middle of Paje beach overlooking the ocean, just a few min walk away from the little market and grocery store. Secondly, the staff in Mahali - every single one of them was such a sweetheart! They were very welcoming and so personal and that in the most positive meaning of this word. People were always smiley, positive and always ready to help whenever you needed it. What's more, the place itself is really nice and clean as well and as I already said it had a nice view over the beach. The room was super spacious. They made our beds, changed towels and cleaned the room every day. This is all really nice! However, more of a luxury. We would have been totally fine with the same towels since it would be better to save water :D But all in all I don't whine.. The only thing that was little funny, not that it was something I did not like, but I was not used to this, was the breakfast. The food itself was delicious and you were able to order literally everything you wanted from the menu, but the way it was organised was strange. We knew that the breakfast was included in the stay, but they did not explain how does it work, if I was able to order a specific amount of items from the menu or there was no limit. Maybe this is something I would recommend them to rethink or at least explain to guests. After we understood though, we just ordered almost everything from the menu every morning. Just the first interaction with the staff at the breakfast table was funny. :)

Baobab Africa Lodge Zanzibar er staðsett í Mtende, 35 km frá Zanzibar Butterfly Centre og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og verönd. I travelled with my kids and to be honest this place did not feel like a lodge or hotel, it felt like home away from home. Everyone from the owners Eric and Sophie to all the staff were so warm, friendly and welcoming. They made it so hard for us to leave. We really enjoyed our vacation and we will for sure go back there. Thank you to all of the Lodges staff and a big thank you to Eric and Sophie for make our trip a memorable one. We will always remember this holiday.

Mahi Mahi Beach Hotel er staðsett í Jambiani, nokkrum skrefum frá Jambiani-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og sameiginlegri setustofu. very clean and big rooms. Balcony has very nice see view. nice big swimming pool.

Amani Hotel Paje er með útisundlaug, garð, verönd og bar í Paje. Gististaðurinn er í nokkurra skrefa fjarlægð frá Paje-ströndinni, 2,6 km frá Bwejuu-ströndinni og 19 km frá Jozani-skóginum. My stay in Amani Paje was absolutely amazing. The hotel room was very big and comfortable, the bathroom as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They make sure that you get everything that you need. The breakfast was the best I have eaten in Zanzibar. A lot of choices available and so delicious. The host Anna is so nice and helps you with anything. I truly felt like home there. Would absolutely recommend this place and hope that I can come back soon. Thanks to Anna, Paolo and all the staff!

Á BaraBara Eat&Sleep - Eco Boutique Hotel er boðið upp á ókeypis reiðhjól, garð, sameiginlega setustofu og verönd í Paje. One of the best places i've stayed at on Zanzibar. The owners and the staff were more than great. The food and smoothies was super good. Everything was made with attention for the details. Room was clean and equiped with all i needed. I enjoyed my stay very, very much and stayed even longer than planned.

Kameleon Blue er staðsett í Kizimkazi, í innan við 1 km fjarlægð frá Kizimkazi Mkunguni-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og verönd. Staff was so nice welcoming and everthing we enjoy the stay for sure 😋

Daima Villas er staðsett í Jambiani, nokkrum skrefum frá Paje-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og sameiginlegri setustofu. The house (it has a kitchen, a big room, a bathroom, a living room and a balcony) was so big and clean. The balcony is excellent to rest or have breakfast. Two steps, the pool! Perfectly location, closer to the beach. The employees are very polite and always ready to satisfy the guests necessities. :)

Paje Blu Boutique Hotel er staðsett í Paje, 60 metra frá Paje-ströndinni, og býður upp á gistingu með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og sameiginlegri setustofu. Hotel area is very nice and well taken care of, same goes for the rooms. Nice swimming pool, bar and pool table. Breakfast is very good with a la carte table service. The chef in the restaurant and bartender is also very good. All the meals and drinks were well prepared. 15min beach walk to the middle of paje beach or 5min taxi. Booking service for tours, transport is offered and you can pay directly to the hotel. Owner is also very friendly.

One Resort Zanzibar er staðsett í Makunduchi og býður upp á veitingastað, heilsuræktarstöð, bar og garð. Þetta 4 stjörnu hótel býður upp á einkastrandsvæði, alhliða móttökuþjónustu og ókeypis WiFi. I like the view, the pool and bar facilities were awesome. The staff was extremely attentive with all requests and professional. The food was also good.
