Eiffel Tower
It doesn’t get much more romantic than gazing out across the city of love with your favourite person in the world. Maybe that’s the reason why hundreds of people drop down on one knee at the top of the tower each year. The dizzying heights and stunning views alone are enough to give anyone butterflies, but a meal at the magical ‘Le Jules Verne’ restaurant might just seal the deal.

The queue is very long to get in even if you have a pre booking. Once up there, the toilets are only available after an other long queue. The best is to go to the tour Montparnasse. From here you have a beautiful view on the tour Eiffel and Paris. It is particularly nice at sun set.

Even though we had lunch booked at Madame Brasserie and therefore had fast track tickets, we still stood in a queue for nearly an hour & a half in the heat and ended up getting to our lunch sitting late.
The view was great and it was an experience not to be missed but it needs to be better organised.

We had tickets for 2nd floor stairs, which was all that was left when I went to book, however I really feel this was a great experience for us. My youngest (12) is a little fearful of heights and elevators, so I think this was perfect for us. Got to see much of the city, while taking your time up and down. We went up at 4pm while still light out and got to see the tower light up after dusk.

An iconic structure to see in real life.
An iconic structure to see in real life. Watch for scammy people in the area and avoid dark, secluded areas at night. Amazing but Paris is just like any other city and you must be vigilant when visiting.

Go see the Eiffel Tower during the day, but absolutely go back at night, grab a pizza from the place around the corner, bring a bottle of wine, sit around the park below it, and enjoy the hourly light show; it is magical.

An iconic must-see.
An iconic must-see.
Inevitably there are long lines for the ticket offices, if you haven't pre-booked; but I was able to cut the line by ordering from the official website, which still had take-the-steps-to-the-second-platform tickets available. Access to the very top was closed temporarily at this point in any case, so this was perfect.

It was a lovely clean and warm apartment to come back to after a day of exploring Paris. Nice and spacious with a good kitchen. We were a family of 3. Our adult son slept on a fold-out couch in the lounge but said it was comfortable. There was a good selection of cafe's and eateries within a block of the apartment and close enough to walk to the metro train stations and even to town which we did (a good 45-60min walk to the Eiffel Tower).
The breakfast was really good! The restaurant was amazing! The roof top bar has an amazing view to Eiffel Tower and Paris. The hotel staff always with a smile in all posts. The room was very clean! The hotel is only 100m from the metro station.
I travelled to Paris with my teenager son and we both absolutely loved the hotel. As we turned onto the street it is on, we were greeted with the view of the Eiffel Tower. It was a lovely surprise. The hotel is about 30 mins walk away from the Eiffel Tower and about 3-5 mins walk away from the closest Metro. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bakery on the corner sells beautiful pastry, which is what we ended up having for breakfast. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Oh, and the toiletry provided was beautiful.
Amazing hotel! The location is perfect just 10 minutes from the Eiffel tower and 5 minutes from the Napoleon’s tomb! The room is clean and a bit small but not so small as we expected. The stuff is very professional and pleasant! There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel (Café des officiers works until 2 a.m. and has a very tasty snails). We highly recommend this hotel to stay at Paris.
Hotel was 10minute walk to Eiffel Tower. Very quiet area. Metro was just outside the hotel to get anywhere in Paris. Hotel was clean, staff were polite and made us feel welcome. Would 100% return to this hotel when next visiting Paris.
It is quite a good hotel in an interesting location. A 25-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower area. It's nice that there was an option to check in earlier. This is generally a very friendly area of Paris. There is a small "gym" in the hotel. However, you shouldn't expect something special ;)
Stanislas hotel is excellent located, in the center of Paris, very convenient to walk around Montparnaise, Eiffel Tower, etc. Is an old and comfortable hotel that looks same that 50 years ago which offers a back in time experience.
Staff are great, even they don't speak too much English, they always try to help, with a smile and try to get your stay comfortable.
Room was clean, bathroom is basic but totally clean which is the most important. Bed and sheets too.
Convenient location near the Eiffel Tower. Close to trains and plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants close by.
Staff were friendly and polite. The hotel is very nicely appointed and the rooms are clean with a be eye comfortable bed. Don’t be expecting a huge room, that’s Paris for you!
Excellent hotel, staff was great, from the receptionist to the cleaners and restaurant, all very friendly!
Room was small but perfect for people who wants to just visit the city of lights!
Wish I could take the bed out with me, extremely comfy!!! :)
Really close to Eiffel Tower and the Metro which you can go anywhere inside Paris!
Overall excellent choice for those who want to stay in a nice hotel!!!
Delicious breakfast, beautiful room and decor with an absolutely gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower! Staff were friendly, courteous, and welcoming & hospitable. Hotel is walking distance from a ton of attractions and restaurants. It all contributed to a magical stay in our first time in Paris.

What guests said about Eiffel Tower:
I stood beneath the Eiffel Tower and looked up trying to imagine the past and the men that built this magnificent structure
if one goes to the Louvre you acquire headsets. It is pretty amazing viewing a painting of Napoleon crowning Josephine and the historical significance of this amazing piece of art is explained in the most beautiful artistic voice. Captivating... , not just this one painting the whole museum of priceless treasures. I felt honoured to view this amazing collection. The artifacts are breathtaking. It is amazing riding a double decker bus and wearing a headset. Two trips around the city and you are most familiar with the sights and their historical significance to start your journey. Plaques in doorways and on statue's leave the visitor a good over view of the past. A trip to Versailles again headsets that advise the visitors the past. The streets, the cobblestones the architecture, the open markets and cafe's, the preservation of the past intact is so very amazing to a first time visitor. Paris is exciting! Paris is busy. Paris is steeped in culture and is bigger than life itself. I stood beneath the Eiffel Tower and looked up trying to imagine the past and the men that built this magnificent structure. The residents of Paris make their city come to life. They are proud of their city. Very clean and orderly.

), Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tower & Notre Dame, and if you must, the Arc de Triomphe, but it's not worth the hassle)
Skip the Louvre & the Champs-Elysees, stroll the Tuilleries and the Latin Quarter instead, & talk to people, but remember you're in THEIR country so learn some basic French (please, thank you, G'day, G'eve, etc.) - you'll find a lot of people who speak English. Use the Metro and the "river taxi" (that's what I call it, anyway). DO enjoy cafe au lait often at outdoor cafes, look at around and up at the old buildings, take your time and soak it all in. Don't waste money on 4 & 5, or even 3 - star hotels & "fancy" restaurants - see where the most French are eating and try those places. But, I'm biased and fluent in the language. One can "do" Paris in 3 days - Musee d'Orsay, Musee Marmottan (Monets!!!), Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tower & Notre Dame, and if you must, the Arc de Triomphe, but it's not worth the hassle). Skip Versailles, go to Fountainbleau (you can get a R/T ticket at the Metro station (subway, train, bus). Hotel in the Latin Quarter.

A good view of the city can be found at the top of the wheel/roue within the jardin des tuileries rather than queuing for the tour Eiffel or scycraper
Find all the hidden playgrounds, visit the jardin du luxembourg and budget for carousel rides. A good view of the city can be found at the top of the wheel/roue within the jardin des tuileries rather than queuing for the tour Eiffel or scycraper.
